Log Flume Ride

In a three-and-a-half-minute ride, five-passenger boats shaped like hollow logs are propelled by rushing water at 10 feet a second along a channel of steep inclines and sharp curves. The ride ends with a splash as the "logs" whisk down a 45 degree slide into swirling rapids.

While log flume rides are a common sight in theme parks today, this was a cutting edge attraction back in 1964. (CD #15 Set 75 #15)

Laughing riders

It looks like they enjoyed the ride! After the Fair ended the log flume was moved to Pirate's World, a now vanished theme park in Florida, along with the Aerial Tower Ride.(CD #17 Set 90 #28)
