ITALIAN PAVILION

“Italian Science and Technology For a Better Life”

Technological progress is a driving force in modern Italy, yet this does not imply the suppression of individual values or aesthetic sensibility. Italy's scientific tradition stretches from Leonardo da Vinci to the present day and includes such giants as Volta, Marconi, and Fermi. Today, as in the past, scientific progress is achieving constant improvement in the quality of life.

The Italian exhibits were located in two buildings in B Block. The larger display in building B1 predicted changes in Italian life through the advances possible through modern technology.  In building B4 a film analyzed the creations of past Italian scientists and artists and showed how modern their work really was.
