IBM JAPAN PAVILION |
“Spirit of Science - Heritage to the 21st Century”
The painting "Circle, Triangle, and Square" is a famous representation
of the spirit of Japanese Zen. IBM Japan has borrowed these three symbols for
the design of its pavilion, which takes a new look at the origin of science,
and, as a heritage to the 21st century, hopes to contribute to the development
of the "scientific mind" - the ability to evaluate impartially and with a
universal point of view scientific and technological data that is becoming
increasingly complicated and sophisticated. A variety of exhibits showed how science has played an important part in mankind's development, information on the basic principles of physics and a chance to play computer games (CD #1 Set 2 #27) |
